Nico is home!

We took Nico home from the hospital yesterday after lunch. It felt great to pack up our things and drive our baby home. Oh course it was cold and pouring rain! The day he was born was sunny and in the 60's. We welcome spring!

Here is Nico in his going home outfit.
Lou ready to take Nico home.

This must have just been a little silent cry. He does that a lot:). He slept the whole way home!

The loves of my life.

Well Nico is about 38 hours old and I cannot believe that I can love someone that I just met so much. My beautiful bride has really gone through a lot to bring him into this world. After 24 hours of labor (without drugs), Nico -- in a pure showing that he is my boy -- decided to do things his own way and required a cesarean birth. We just want to thank all our friends and family and will keep everyone posted.

Nicolas (Nico) August Chiappetta

He is the sweetest and cutest baby ever! (We might be a little biased!) He was up ALL NIGHT eating so I have not slept more than 4 hours these last 2 days but now that it is daytime he is sleeping soundly! I think we will have to work on changing his schedule around!

Baby Boy C

Their first family photo!

Desiree was really sad she had to wait a few minutes to see him...but then they got to meet:)

Everyone is doing well! More details later, but we know everyone likes pictures!

7lbs. 12 oz.!

And the scrubs are on...

They just wheeled Desiree into the OR to have the baby via c-section. He just decided that was the way he wanted to come into the world. The baby will probably be born in just a few minutes, but we won't get to go see Desi or the baby for two hours. Lou promised he would take lots of pictures and run out and show us. I will try to swap cameras with him so I can post a few. We can't wait to see his sweet face!

At the hospital

(Aunt Lindsey updating)
Des before we left for the hospital this morning....and after having contractions all night and zero sleep! Poor mama!

Here is Lou saying that he would like six children. Such a funny guy!

Des and her two labor coaches...so far we are doing well. Or I should say Des is doing really well!
The midwife broke her water around 2:30 and she has been laboring in the shower since. The contractions are about 3 minutes apart and are lasting 1-1.5 minutes. I think Baby Boy C will be here shortly. Stay tuned...

Yes, today was my due date and no, we have not had the baby. Stay posted. It HAS to happen before too long!
